Pathway to All Children in Education (ACE) (completed)

The project "Pathway to All Children in Education (ACE)" aims to facilitate the access of refugee and migrant children to formal education as well as to support their studies. For the implementation of the program, UNICEF cooperates with associations and organizations with experience in providing informal education, enrollment in public education, and monitoring refugee children’s education. For this reason, the OMNES Association was selected, having been active in similar sectors since 2017.

Interdisciplinary teams consisting of teachers, interpreters, psychologists, and social scientists provide services via the "Centers of Education and Creative Activities" contributing to the development of linguistic and social skills. More particularly, the program includes:

•             Preparation of children who do not yet attend public schools to facilitate their smooth integration, by Greek legislation.

•             Support the development of their linguistic skills (Greek and English).

•             Providing support at home to aid students with their daily tasks and obligations, aiming at the successful continuation of their studies and avoiding the phenomenon of school dropouts.

•             Enhancing social learning, psychosocial support, and empowering children

Τhe programme “All Children In Education” is a UNICEF Greece initiative, co-funded by European Commission and implemented by a number of partners, including SolidarityNow and Omnes.
